2. Narrating Events – Friend’s Birthday Party and Scheme Inter House Sport

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES 

By the end of the lesson, the pupils should have attained the following objectives (cognitive, affective and psychomotor) and should be able to –

narrate events such as friend’s birthday Party and school inter house sport

ENTRY BEHAVIOUR

The children can identify birthday’s cake and inter house sport’s trophy.

 

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS

The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of:

1. Chart showing birthday’s cake

2. Sport’s trophy.

METHOD OF TEACHING

Choose a suitable and appropriate methods for the lessons.

Note – Irrespective of choosing methods of teaching, always introduce an activities that will arouse pupil’s interest or lead them to the lessons.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON  

LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTORY ACTIVITIES 

Teacher’s/Pupil’s Activities – Display chart showing a birthday’s cake for the children to identify and talk about their birthday or other birthday.

LESSON 2 – SCHOOL INTER HOUSE SPORT

Teacher’s/Pupil’s Activities – Display chart showing sport’s trophy for the children to identify and talk about the last school inter house sport.

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;

2. Guides pupils to narrate events.

Pupil’s Activities – Narrate events.

CONCLUSION

To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
