PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

By the end of the lesson, the pupils should have attained the following objectives –

1. introduce themselves properly.

2. give simple description of self (gender).

3. build self-esteem and confidence.

 

 

ENTRY BEHAVIOUR

The pupils can identify themselves as boy or girl.

 

 

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS

The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of chart showing a boy and a girl.

 

 

METHOD OF TEACHING

Choose a suitable and appropriate methods for the lessons.

Note – Irrespective of choosing methods of teaching, always introduce an activities that will arouse pupil’s interest or lead them to the lessons.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON

MEANING OF SELF AWARENESS 

Self awareness is a personal knowledge of own yourself. That’s, knowing and understanding your own character, feelings, motives, and desires.

 

IDENTIFY YOURSELF (BUILDING SELF ESTEEM) 

My name is _____. (Michael)

I am a _____. (boy or girl)

I am a cute _____. (boy)

I am a beautiful _____. (girl)

I love myself because I am _____. (cute boy or beautiful girl)

 

 

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson based on what he/she taught or what the pupils have learned.

2. Teacher uses flashcard to guide the pupils to introduce and identify themselves as boy or girl.

3. Teacher uses a bold voice to help the pupils to respond confidently when saying their names and gender.

Pupil’s Activities – The pupils say their name and gender more confident and bold.

4. Teacher summarizes the lesson on the board.

Pupil’s Activities – The pupils participate actively in the summary.

 

 

CONCLUSION

To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
