PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

By the end of the lesson, most of the pupils should have attained the following objectives –

1. read a simple passage on the content column.

2. write the passage in their notebook.

3. write clearly and observe the spacing between the letters in a word and words in a sentence.

The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of:

1. Passage under content column.

2. Any other relevant reference materials.

FOCUS READING:

A simple and short passage selected from the course book based on regard and concern for interest of others. 

 

TOPIC – NATION VALUES (DISCIPLINE) 

 

 

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;

2. Reads the passage with expression and correct intonation.

Pupil’s Activities – Listen the passage carefully.

3. Lets the pupils the passage in groups or pairs depending on the size of the class.

4. Allows the pupils to read individual.

Pupil’s Activities – Participate actively in the reading.

5. Guides pupils to identify the difficult words in the passage and observe the spacing between a word and words in a sentence.

Pupil’s Activities – Identify the difficult words in the passage and observe the spacing between a word and words in a sentence.

6. Asks pupils to copy the passage in their notebook.

Pupil’s Activities – Write as instructed.

7. Summarize the lesson.
