CONTENT OF THE LESSON
INTRODUCTION
The legs are the part of body that are used for walking, running, ridding, skipping, hopping and jumping. The legs are the two lower limbs of the body.
The legs are made up – upper leg, knee, lower leg, ankle and foot.
CARE FOR THE LEGS
The following are ways we can care for our legs –
1. Wash them with clean water and apply cream.
2. Cut the toe nails short.
3. Do not kick sharp objects like stones with your legs.
4. Do not jump from heights.
5. Wear protective gear when riding a bicycle.
6. Do not step on sharp objects like nails, broken bottles, etc.
PRESENTATION
To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:
1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson based on what he/she taught or what the pupils have learned.
2. Teacher displays chart showing the body and the pupils to identify the head, hands and the legs.
3. Teacher uses the pupils responses to explain how to care for the legs.
Pupil’s Activities – The pupils demonstrate how to care for the legs.
4. Teacher summarizes the lesson on the board.
Pupil’s Activities – The pupils participate actively in the summary.
CONCLUSION
To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
