To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;

2. Reads the passage.

3. Allows the pupils to read in pairs or groups to identify the new words and getting their appropriate pronunciation.

Pupil’s Activities – Attach contextual meanings to the new words found in a give passage.

4. Guides pupils to identify the topic sentence in each paragraph and relate to the main ideas in a given passage.

Pupil’s Activities – Establish the relationship between topic sentence(s) and the main idea in a give passage.

5. Pairs the pupils to establish the relationship between their real life experiences and the main idea in a give passage.

Pupil’s Activities – Participate in their group activities.

6. construct sentences with the new words.
