CONTENTS OF THE LESSON

FOCUS LESSONS 

1. MEANING OF FAKE GOODS

Fake goods can be defined as goods or products that are inferior or sub-standard.

 

 

2. MEANING OF ADULTERATED GOODS

Adulterated goods can be defined as goods or products that are made in low quality with the use of inferior materials.

These goods are not good for consumption and any other use.

Fake and adulterated goods are generally bad goods.

 

 

3. GOODS OFTEN FAKED AND ADULTERATED

4. Electronics/electrical products

5. Building materials

4. REASONS WHY PEOPLE PRODUCE AND DISTRIBUTE FAKE AND ADULTERATED GOODS

  • Greed
  • Lack of patriotism
  • Lack of morals
  • Disloyalty

 

 

5. HOW TO STOP THE SALE OF FAKE AND ADULTERATED GOODS

1. Be patriotic

6. GOVERNMENT AGENCIES THAT FIGHT THE PRODUCTION AND DISTRIBUTION of FAKE AND ADULTERATED GOODS

  • NAFDAC – National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control.

NAFDAC regulate and control the manufacture, importation, exportation, distribution, advertisement, sale and use of Food, Drugs, Cosmetics, Medical Devices, Packaged Water, Chemicals and Detergents (collectively known as regulated products).

 

  • SON – Standards Organization of Nigeria.

SON is a body in charge of standardization in Nigeria and ensure that goods imported into Nigeria meet the minimum requirements.

 

  • NDLEA – National Drug Law Enforcement Agency.

NDLEA is charged with eliminating the growing, processing, manufacturing, selling, exporting, and trafficking of hard drugs.

Teamwork can be defined as working together with one another.

Also, it means working together or cooperating with other people to achieve the set goals/objectives.

1. Teamwork builds self confidence

3. Teamwork saves time

4. Teamwork enables us to learn new things

5. Teamwork promotes and improves communication
