LEARNING OBJECTIVES
By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:
1. Explain the meaning of the present perfect tense.

5. Change simple present sentences into present perfect tense.

The pupils already know how to form sentences in present and past tense. This lesson introduces an action that has just been completed or has relevance to the present.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON
INTRODUCTION
The present perfect tense is used to talk about actions that happened in the past but are still important in the present.
It is formed using: has / have + past participle
Examples
- I have eaten rice.
- She has gone to school.
- They have finished their work.
- He has written a letter.
- We have seen the movie.
Important Rules
- Use has with he, she, it.
- Use have with I, you, we, they.
- Always use the past participle of the verb.
Common Verb Forms
- go → gone
- eat → eaten
- write → written
- see → seen
- finish → finished
