PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
By the end of the lesson, most pupils should have attained the following objectives (cognitive, affective and psychomotor) and should be able to – classify each part of the human body.
ENTRY BEHAVIOUR
The pupils can identify different parts of the body.
INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS
The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of chart showing different parts of the human body with labels.
METHOD OF TEACHING
Choose a suitable and appropriate methods for the lessons.
Note – Irrespective of choosing methods of teaching, always introduce an activities that will arouse pupil’s interest or lead them to the lessons.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON
LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTION
PARTS OF HUMAN BODY
The hair, eyes, nose, chest, belly, hands, legs, etc.
Human body can be group into 3 parts.
1. The Head
2. The Trunk
3. The Hands and Legs
LESSON 2 – THE HEAD, THE TRUNK, THE HANDS AND THE LEGS
1. THE HEAD
For example, the hair, eyes, nose, etc.
2. THE TRUNK
For example, the chest and belly.
3. THE HANDS AND LEGS
For example, the hands, legs and nails.
ASSIGNMENT
Find out from home other parts of –
1. Head
2. Trunk
C. Hands and legs
PRESENTATION
To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:
1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;
2. Displays chart showing different parts of the human body.
3. Lets pupils identify and state different parts of the human body.
Pupil’s Activities – Identify and state different parts of the human body.
4. Uses the charts to describe parts of the human body.
Pupil’s Activities – State the uses of different parts of the human body.
5. Randomly call the pupils to touch or state a particular part of the body.
Pupil’s Activities – Mention and touch the parts of the human body as shown by the teacher.
6. Summarizes the lesson on the board.
Pupil’s Activities – Copy as the teacher writes.
CONCLUSION
To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
