CONTENT OF THE LESSON
LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTION
Suspicious movement can be a dangerous movement and be regarded as criminal acts if not reported. Unreported suspicious movement can lead to murder, rape, sex abuse, child abuse, kidnap, robbery, burglary, etc. In order to save lives, such movement must be reported to the teachers (if you are in the school), parents (if you are at home), neighbours (if your parents are not at home) and appropriate authority such as the local security agents, police, etc.
TYPES OF SUSPICIOUS MOVEMENT
Week 6 Some of the common examples of suspicious movement include –
1. Peeping through fence, windows or cars.
2. Peering into windows or cars.
2. Roaming around your neighbourhood or properties.
LESSON 2 – WHEN (THE TIME) TO RAISE ALARM ON SUSPICIOUS MOVEMENT
There is no specific time you cannot report or raise alarm on any suspicious movement. if you see or hear anything out of the ordinary or concerning, say something or call for help or report to any available person or security agents.
HOW TO RAISE ALARM OVER SUSPICIOUS MOVEMENT
1. Stop anybody before going further.
2. Challenge or question anyone going out of bound.
3. Put security alarm or camera.
4. Install security alarm in car.
5. Call or report to the appropriate security agents.
6. Shout ole or thief.
LESSON 3 – REVISION AND WEEKLY ASSESSMENT (TEST)
PRESENTATION
To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:
1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson based on what he/she has taught or what the pupils have learned.
2. Teacher organizes pupils in groups or pairs depending on the size of the class and available instructional materials.
3. Teacher display chart showing peeping through fence, windows or cars, peering into windows or cars and roaming around your neighbourhood or properties.
