PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
By the end of the lesson, the pupils should have attained the following objectives (cognitive, affective and psychomotor) and should be able to:
1. define:
- internet
- world wide web (www)
- electronic mail (e- mail)
- e-mail address
- website.
2. access the internet.
INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS
The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of:
Internet connected computer lab or cyber cafe.
METHOD OF TEACHING – Choose a suitable and appropriate methods for the lessons.
Note – Irrespective of choosing methods of teaching, always introduce an activities that will arouse pupil’s interest or lead them to the lessons.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON
LESSON ONE – INTRODUCTION
Internet is a network that connects computers worldwide. Internet is the largest computer network in the world.
It is no longer limited to personal computers, internet can be accessed through personal phone, tablet, television and other electronic devices.
EMAIL AND EMAIL ADDRESS
Email stands for electronic mail.
Email is an electronic means of exchange message electronic devices – computer or phone.
Email address is a unique identity for an email account.
WWW
www stands for World Wide Web and commonly known as the Web.
WWW is an information system where web resources (documents) are located. For example, www.clicksamplenote.com.ng.
WEBSITE
Website is a page or collection of page’s links for collection a certain information. For example, classbasic.ng, ekoquiz.com, etc.
LESSON TWO – WEEKLY ASSESSMENT
As stated in performance objectives or lesson evaluation.
PRESENTATION
To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:
1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;
2. Leads pupils to define the internet, e-mail address, website, web browser.
Pupil’s Activities – define the internet, e-mail address, website, web browser.
3. Organizes visit to cyber cafe to demonstrate the various uses of internet.
Pupil’s Activities – Practice writing valid e-mail and web addresses.
CONCLUSION
- To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
