LEARNING OBJECTIVES
By the end of the lesson, most of the pupils should to identify the the personnel to contact during emergency, e.g. police, neighborhood watch, FRSC, LASTMA, NAFDAC, etc.
ENTRY BEHAVIOUR
The pupils can identify and discuss the duties of the police, LASTMA, FRSC, fire fighter, etc.
INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS
The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of chart showing list of personnel to contact during emergency.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON
LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTION
An emergency is an unexpected situation that require urgent attention and action to avoid more harmful and dangerous hazardous such as road accident, fire outbreak, street fighting, robbery, kidnappers, terrorism, etc.
In order to avoid some or most of these unexpected, dangerous and risky situation, there is need to contact appropriate personnel or agencies for necessary action.
In the case of emergency, different personnel or agencies are established for immediate responses. You can only call any of these personnel or agencies when you need help.
LIST OF PERSONNEL TO CONTACT DURING EMERGENCY
The list of agencies or personnel to contact during emergency are as follows:
1. Crime scene or criminal activities, contact Nigeria Police Force or Rapid Response Squad (RRS)
2. Fire outbreak, contact Federal or State Fire Service on 112
3. Road obstructions such as accident, traffic, etc. on the highway, contact Federal Road Safety Corp on 122.

LESSON 2 – EXCURSION (OPTIONAL) OR INVITATION OF ANY GOVERNMENT AGENCIES ON EMERGENCY SUPPORT
Teacher can organized excursion to the nearest government agencies that provide emergency services or invite any government agencies that provide emergency support and assistance to talk on the personal to contact during emergency.
LESSON 3 – REVISION AND WEEKLY ASSESSMENT
As stated in performance objectives or lesson evaluation.
PRESENTATION
To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:
1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;
2. Teacher organizes the pupils in groups or pair depending on the size of the class.
3. Teacher displays chart showing some of the personnel or agencies in action.
Pupil’s Activities –
4. Teacher asks pupils as groups to identify and discuss the duties and responsibilities of the personnel or agencies on the chart.
Pupil’s Activities – The pupils identify and discuss the duties and responsibilities of the personnel or agencies on the chart.
4. Teacher uses the pupil’s responses to introduce the lesson and leads a class discuss on the personnel to contact during emergency
Pupil’s Activities – The pupils attention to the lesson introduction to understand the concept of the lesson.
5. Teacher organizes an excursion to the nearest government agencies that provide emergency services or invite any government agencies that provide emergency support and assistance to talk on the personal to contact during emergency.
Pupil’s Activities – The pupils participate actively on the emergency talk, ask questions and responses appropriate questions asked by the speaker.
6. Teacher summarizes the lesson on the board with appropriate evaluation.
Pupil’s Activities – The pupils participate actively in the summary of the lesson by responding correctly to most of the questions write as instructed.

To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
