The pupils can identify computer system.

The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of functional computer system and chart showing a computer room.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON

LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTION (COMPUTER ROOM) 

A computer room is a room where we keep our computers and other devices such as internet access, scanners, and printers.

A computer room is a room with many computers. Other rooms like our homes, offices, business, etc. have one or more computers are not computer rooms.

Another name for a computer room is a computer lab or laboratory. A computer room is designed for teaching and learning, research and project.

 

LESSON 2 – USES OF COMPUTER ROOM 

1. A computer room is used for teaching and learning information technology.

2. A computer room is used for teaching students on how to use computer.

3. A computer room allows the students to learn about the importance of computers.

4. A computer room allows the students to demonstrate what they have learnt in the classroom.

5. In a computer room, students learn from each other.

6. A computer room is used for assignments.

7. In a computer room, students learn how to care for computers.

8. A computer room is used for networking.

9. A computer room is used for training and development, etc.

 

LESSON 3 – REVISION AND WEEKLY ASSESSMENT 

As stated in performance objectives or lesson evaluation. 

 

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;

2. Teacher organizes the pupils in groups or pair depending on the size of the class.

3. Teacher displays the following charts – a. empty room, b. setting room, c. bedroom, d. kitchen and d. a computer room.

4. Teacher lets the pupils examine, identify and discuss each room on the charts.

Pupil’s Activities – The pupils identify and discuss each room on the charts.

5. Teacher uses the charts and the pupils relevant responses to introduce the lesson – Meaning and Uses of Computer Room.

Pupil’s Activities – The pupils participate actively in the lesson discussion on the meaning and uses of computer room.

6. Teacher leads a class discussion on the meaning and uses of computer room.

Pupil’s Activities – The pupils participate actively in the class discussion and appreciate the importance of a computer room in the school.

7. Teacher summarizes the lesson on the board with appropriate evaluation.

Pupil’s Activities – The pupils participate actively in the summary of the lesson by responding correctly to most of the questions write as instructed.

 

CONCLUSION

To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
