LEARNING OUTCOME
By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:
1. define and identification of weeds;
2. state the importance of weeds;
3. list the control measures for weeds.
RATIONALE
Weeds are unwanted plants. They grew when no one planted them. Some of these weeds, their seeds are dropped by man and animals. Weeds cause problems for farmers,they must be controlled. Also, weeds protect our environment against erosion.
In this lesson, pupils will learn about some simple ways of how to control weeds and their importance.
LEARNING MATERIALS
The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of:
1. School garden
2. Course book
3. Rubber gloves
4. Garden knife
5. Small hoe.
