By the end of the lesson, most of the pupils should have attained the following objectives –
1. explain the meaning of authenticity.
2. state the importance of authenticity.
3. demonstrate how to show authenticity.

The pupils can differentiate between honesty and dishonesty.
INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS
The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of pupil’s beliefs on honsety and dishonesty.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON
LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTION
MEANING OF SECURITY
Security is the state of being free from all dangers or harms at home, in the school or anywhere you are. That’s, feeling safe at all time.
For example, when you at home with the doors or gate are locked and you feel free, safe and relax.
Insecurity is when you are not feeling safe or free from dangers.
The following are the elements of security – availability, integrity, authenticity confidentiality, protection, etc.
MEANING OF AUTHENTICITY
Authenticity means something that is true and genuine or real.
WAYS TO ENSURE AUTHENTICITY
1. Investigate
2. Verification
3. Don’t be quick to judge
4. Seek other people’s opinions or advise.
5. Stand on what you believed to be truth.
6. Be observant, etc.
LESSON 2 – IMPORTANCE OF AUTHENTICITY
1. It enriches relationships.
2. It brings about recognition from valuable people.
3. It makes lives more simple and peaceful.
4. It brings about personal growth.
5. It increases the good taste of life.
6. It gives more meaning to life.
7. It enables you share good beliefs.
8. It make your opinions more important.
PRESENTATION
To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:
1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;
2. Teacher organizes pupils in groups or pairs depending on the size of the class.
3. Teacher asks the groups or pairs to differentiate between honesty and dishonesty.
4. Teacher listens to the groups or pairs and uses their relevant responses to introduce the lesson – meaning and importance of authenticity.
Pupil’s Activities – Learners pay attention to the lesson introduction to understand the concept of the lesson.
5. Teacher guides pupils to explain the meaning of authenticity and demonstrate how to ensuring authenticity.
