6. Dictation – Selected Words/Sentences from the passage Read 

 

WEEK 2

TOPIC – CONTENT

1. Speech Work – A Passage from A Folktales (Primary 4)

2. Structure – A Memorable Football Match (Primary 4)

3. Reading – Reading Comprehension

4. Teaching New Words, Dictation and Spelling – Teaching of New Words Dictation and Spelling

5. Grammar – as in structure 

6. Writing – Rearrange these words to tell the story on why snails move slowly

Dictation – Selected Words/Sentences from the passage Read 

 

 

WEEK 3

TOPIC – CONTENT

1. Speech Work and Grammar – Question Tag – Using Modal Auxiliaries: Can, May, Will, Shall, etc. (Primary 4)

2. Structure – Using Question Tags

3. Reading – Reading Comprehension

4. Teaching New Words, Dictation and Spelling – Teaching of New Words Dictation and Spelling

5. Writing – Narrative passage i.e. an eye witness account of things done, said and seen 

 

 

WEEK 4

TOPIC – CONTENT

1. Speech Work – Responsible Parenthood and Family Welfare/Different Types of Marriage, Advantages and Disadvantages (Primary 4)

2. Structure – Types of Marriage, as stated in speech work 

3. Reading – Reading Comprehension

4. Teaching New Words, Dictation and Spelling – Teaching of New Words Dictation and Spelling

5. Grammar – Learn these words and their meaning And some selected words from the passage 

6. Writing – Passage based on public notice do not Smoke, Avoid HIV/AIDS, etc.

7. Dictation: Selected words from the passage read, as stated in grammar

 

 

 

 

WEEK 5

TOPIC – CONTENT

1. Speech Work – Movable Adverbial Phrases in Sentences in Initial and Final Positions (Primary 4)

2. Structure – Make sentences from the table 

3. Reading – Reading Comprehension

4. Teaching New Words, Dictation and Spelling – Teaching of New Words Dictation and Spelling

5. Writing – Copying A Poem with Emphasis on the Format – Crooked Song (Primary 4)

6. Grammar: Identify the options, say weather they Advise, advertise or warn

7. Dictation: Selected words from the passage to read

2. Structure – Passage on Means of Transport

6. Writing – Composition on how man changes his Environment

1. Speech Work – Conditional sentences expressing Wishes and desires that are unlikely to be fulfilled 

2. Structure – Class drama – use stress and Intonation to express a wide range of emotions

3. Grammar – Use Adverbs to Describe Verbs, Make sentences out of the table

4. Teaching New Words, Dictation and Spelling – Teaching of New Words Dictation and Spelling

5. Writing – Fill in the Gaps with Words (Primary 4)

6. Dictation – Selected Words or Sentences from the Passage Read

3. Reading – Reading Comprehension

6. Writing – Narrative passage on theft

7. Dictation – Selected Sentences from the Passage Read

1. Speech Works: Songs 

2. Structure: Eating habits among Nigerians 

3. Reading – Reading Comprehension

Teaching New Words, Dictation and Spelling – Teaching of New Words Dictation and Spelling

4. Grammar: Word search 

5. Writing: Name other Landmark in Nigeria apart From the Owufall
